Secondary Maths Teacher | North Cornwall | Fixed Term | Jan 2022 - December 2022 

Opus Education Recruitment are excited to announce that we have an amazing opportunity at one of our North Cornwall Secondary Schools for a Qualified Maths Teacher. 

This post will be suited to both early career teachers as well as those with more experience.

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will be able to approach each day with a high level of enthusiasm and passion for your subject, inspiring pupils through exciting, creative lessons. If you are a Maths Teacher who is looking to make a genuine difference, then this could be the post for you!

This school is a popular and highly successful school and is looking to appoint a lively and enthusiastic graduate with a passion for Mathematics. You will be required to teach Mathematics across the full ability range and in both Key Stages. At Key Stage 4 we deliver GCSE in Mathematics, with some students also studying for Further Mathematics as an additional qualification.

This dynamic department is well resourced and consists of a team of ten teachers who are both committed and enthusiastic practitioners, supported by a dedicated HLTA and a team of TA’s who administer a “Power of Two” programme with our lowest ability students. The post provides excellent opportunities for newly qualified teachers or experienced teachers but it is essential that the successful applicant is an enthusiastic team player.

To apply for this role, you must have:

A teaching degree-granting QTS

An undergraduate degree in Maths

A strong passion for your subject.

A clear and robust behavioural management style that focuses on developing a positive rapport with students.

The ability to work closely with support staff, ensuring that learning is taking place efficiently and effectively.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer, and eligibility to work in the UK.
